"This is our first time in Bologna and I am touched and humbled by the visit and experience. Our last day in Bologna we decided to go to Bella Arti for dinner and the server - Mirkovich Peter was outstanding in his service and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good dining experience. He not only shared recommmendations but was also so nice to give us a tour of the basement and educate us on some of the oldest wines they have as a sommelier. Pls ask for him if any of you visit this place. He went above and beyond to make Sure our experience was 5/5. Happily will recommend this place as well as the delicioso Food!!!!"

"Yes they are open in August!! In fact every day except December 24 and 25. Their Pizza is top shelf. And try some of their Calabrese specials if you can handle the spice. —- see below for prior comments today I took a little walking tour of Bologna and as I was walking I found this restaurant. After looking through the three pages of pizza options I settled on a 4 cheese pizza. I saw that one of the dough options was a black charcoal. As it turns out there is a dough that includes a vegetable based charcoal which supposedly reduces the amount of bloating and gas that you may have after eating pizza. I didn’t even know such a thing existed but much to my delight it tasted like a regular crust except it was slightly darker. and I’m happy to report that, I actually feel comfortable and I’m not experiencing any bloating. Who knew? so this place was really quite nice and it’s owned by a family that comes from my hometown, Calabria. I’m looking forward to going back the next time someone comes to visit me from New York and taking them to this family style restaurant with great service and wonderful food. I had to take 40% of the pie home because of course I couldn’t finish the whole thing in one sitting. Yes I know I’m a lightweight but that means that I get to enjoy it with my morning coffee. I topped off the meal with a delicious coffee. I don’t know how they do it but when I make coffee at home it hardly ever taste as good as when I get it at a restaurant or bar. I guess I just don’t have the magic touch. I had a lovely conversation with the owner and the weight staff and I’m looking forward to returning and tasting some of their specialty Calabrian meals."

"This is a BEST choose for dinner. The very nice place, the waiter is very friendly and offer a really wonderful selection of dishes for your taste, as they have known you all your life. Wine is wonderful for the ordered dishes. Very pleasant atmosphere. We sat in the inner veranda, sort of like inside, but also on fresh dungeon. Not hot and the light breeze. We were very pleased with the choice and did not regret it for a second."

"We stayed in the apartment next door and looking for a place to eat the first night. Very pleasant surprise as it doesn't look like much from the street. We had some very good food and drinks with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Were planning to go back, but unfortunately didn't make it. Next time!!!"
